Exercising during the colder months...

It's easy to go into hibernation mode during winter. Mornings are much colder, it gets dark so early and we tend to let healthy habits like a morning jog or an and of day gym visit slide.


If you find it hard to stay motivated over winter, there are a few things you could try:


1 Train for an event - with fun runs like the City2Surf and Color Run held towards the end of winter, simply pick one and give yourself a goal to work towards.


2 Work out with a personal trainer - a trainer will hold you accountable, help you push your limits and teach you new ways to keep fit. We know some great personal trainers, get in touch if you'd like some recommendations!


3 Reward yourself - if you reach your goals, reward yourself with a new outfit, a spa day or new haircut.


4 Prepare in advance - get everything from your breakfast to your gym bag and even your workout clothed ready the night before.
