Happy Mother's Day

With Mother's Day just around the corner, here's a little tip for hard working mums...

The most common injuries we see in mums with babies and small children are neck and shoulder strains.

It's common for mums to hold their bub on their less dominant side, resting them on the hip area while multitasking and getting things done with their other hand. This causes imbalance in the spine and over usage of opposite muscle groups on the sides of the upper back region, resulting in neck and shoulder blade pain.

The best way to avoid this is by wearing a baby pouch, or if that's not possible, try to swap arms as often as you can.

There are exercises you can perform to increase your strength. Get in touch and we can design an exercise program for your needs.
