Physio in Dee Why
Hi, my name is Al. My philosophy in Physio is to focus on what I can do for you. It's about utilising my knowledge and experience to address your issue by learning about you, your goals and your lifestyle. It all helps me design a pathway to recovery as well as better quality of life for you.
I graduated in 2000 and the excitement of helping improve my patients' quality of life has not lost its power one bit.
My area of interest is spinal management, especially chronic and ongoing cases.
I believe a comfortable, active and customised plan can make even the most complex cases manageable.

Physio in Dee Why
“As a Physio, I love to make people feel good, and I believe that everyone has the capacity to feel good within themselves, no matter what life is throwing at them the day they walk into our clinic”.
John has over 7 years of Physiotherapy experience including working with a variety of athletes and sporting teams across many different codes. John has also played semi-professional rugby for a number of years, and so understands the demands of high-level sport.
John also has experience working in rehabilitation and post-operative settings with patients ranging from joint replacements to spinal cord injury.
As a local growing up on the Northern beaches of Sydney, John also appreciates the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle and quality of life. Whether that’s simply being able to do the grocery shopping comfortably or running in the Pub to Pub.
Whatever your goal is in relation to your injury or condition (i.e. what you’re not able to do due to having this injury), John will be able to guide you and ensure that you are doing everything in your power to achieve it.
Although many injuries and conditions are the same, it doesn’t necessarily mean that they will recover in the same way. In other words, one type of treatment that worked for one person may not work for the next. John will often use a combination of treatment modalities based off a client’s history and previous experiences with practitioners to get the best possible results. These might include soft tissue massage and trigger point releases, joint mobilisations, specific corrective and strengthening exercises as well as dry needling.

Physio in Dee Why
Hey Guys, my name is Dan and I am one of the physios here at Team8 Physio. You can find me in either of our Fitness first or Dee Why Parade clinics.
My physiotherapy journey began through a passion for sport and getting amongst the action; and then blossomed into a passion for improving quality of life and allowing individuals to achieve their goals whether they be small or large. As such I have experience in working with sporting clubs in rehabilitation and preventative measures to match my experience in clinics. This has allowed me to keep the northern beaches community achieving what they love.
Just a bit about me, I have always lived on the Northern Beaches and live and breathe the insular peninsula lifestyle. I’m quite passionate about living a healthy lifestyle and getting out and about in whatever way possible. I have a very keen interest in golf, although my handicap doesn’t seem to agree with that.
My passion for sport has also led me down to taking a keen interest in netball and the associated rehabilitation. I have been working closely with netball over the last couple of years on the northern beaches and I understand the load the body undergoes and the need for conditioning to prevent injuries or recurrences.
I have always had a passion for physio due to numerous experiences myself as a patient through a number or sporting injuries that required long-term treatment. As such I have first hand experience in how debilitating and frustrating injuries can be, and the importance of completing your rehabilitation.
I love nothing more than seeing the smile on my patients' faces when they are able to return to their sport/hobby that was previously limited by an injury. Come into our clinic and together we can work on a plan to get you back to your 100% you.

Physio in Dee Why
Hey, my name is Tom, one of the Physio here at Team8. You can find me both in our Fitness First and Dee Why Parade clinics.
I started out in this field as an Exercise Physiologist for a number of years, then completed a Doctor of Physiotherapy. Combining the two has really shaped my approach to injuries. A mixture of "hands on" and exercise therapy is a fantastic way to fix injuries. I believe that digging deep and finding the "cause" of an injury is the level of care you deserve. I know this will keep the people of the Northern Beaches doing what they love!
During my time, I have developed a passion for treating wrestlers/grapplers and surfers. Having competed in wrestling and sustaining my fair share of shoulder and neck injuries, I know how much it affects training and quality of life. All this said, I get just as much enjoyment in treating athletes as I do seniors.
Major injury or minor niggle, I'm there for you along your journey.

Hi! I'm Bev. I'm one of the physios here at Team8 Physio. I completed my Bachelor of Physiotherapy degree at The University of Queensland. During my studies in Brisbane, I gained a strong appreciation of the complexity of the human body and ways that physios can assist in restoring better movement and resultant quality of life. I have completed my placements in Brisbane hospitals and private practice centres and have treated a wide variety of cases including musculoskeletal, neurology, cardiorespiratory and orthopaedics (post-op procedures). I would love to work with you in getting back to your goals, whether sport-specific, work-related or life in general with more pain-free movement! When I am not working, you'll find me spending time with family and friends, at Fitness First Willoughby or exploring different avenues of holistic health. Feel free to come in and have a chat. I'd love to get to know you :)
